Friday October 13 - Saturday October 14th it’s a dark moon phase, before the new moon.
Honor the triple goddess Hekate, she’s a dark moon goddess of the crossroads. Protective of those who honor her, it is said She’s the Goddess who’s able to walk between the seen and unseen worlds and to occupy the space between them.
She carries a torch that illuminates the shadows. Her favorite creatures are Her beloved hounds. Leave her an offering on a crossroads or next to your front door.
I like to offer her pomegranate, garlic, wine, fresh/dry flowers, skeleton keys, crystals and bones or treats for her beloved hounds.
I light a purple candle anointed with my favorite oil, sprinkle Hekate purple salt around it, and light Hekate caldron incense… I meditate and thank the goddess for her guidance, protection and wisdom.
Dark moon phase is a good timing for closure of the cycle. Use this opportunity to remove yourself from destructive relationships, negative behavior patterns or anything harmful in your life. Close any pending issues and quietly renew your inner energies.
